About John

John Carroll is recognised as one of the leading coaches in the Czech Republic and Slovakia and over a career spanning almost 25 years has coached many clients in both of these countries, from complete beginners to national champions!

Born in Portmarnock, County Dublin, Ireland, John is a fully - qualified member of the PGA. He has worked with top golfers, including many players who have played international golf for their country. His current and past students have 10 National Championship wins, including the 2020 Czech International Junior Strokeplay Champion. He has also worked with the Czech Golf Federation Regional squads.

Fluent in Czech and Slovak, John founded the John Carroll Golf Academy in 2007 and his passion for promoting the game of golf, and helping all golfers improve with a simple and effective approach, has proven successful for players of any age and ability level.

As a golf coach, John will provide you with the information you need to take control of your golf swing. You will leave each session with a greater understanding of the mind and body connection that is needed to sustain the swing you’ve always wanted. He doesn’t provide quick tips or band-aid fixes, but will work with the student to achieve long-term results and lasting success.
